The U.S. Small Business Administration is staffing up!
WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 18, 2021) – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced its senior leadership team and key appointees, including Bailey DeVries as the new Associate Administrator in the Office of Investment & Innovation (OII). The OII leads four programs that provide capital and funding to the small business community, including the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program.
Prior to her appointment, Bailey was a Venture Partner at Trail Mix Ventures (TMV), where she dedicated her time to financially inclusive seed stage investments. An Illinois native, she previously served in executive roles with Greenspring Associates, T. Rowe Price Associates, and Sotera Defense Solutions and has nearly two decades of experience in business strategy, asset management, government contracting, and investments.
Public policies that help small businesses gain access to capital are crucial to economic growth and job creation, and SBIA works on behalf of its members to promote policies that support robust domestic investment. SBIA looks forward to working with the new Associate Administrator to advance our common goal of providing access to capital for American small businesses.
