Hill Veteran Celia Glassman Joins the Small Business Investor Alliance

A Florida native, Glassman will serve as SBIA’s new Director of Government Relations.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 30, 2021) – The Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), the leading association for lower middle market private equity funds and investors, is pleased to announce the hire of Celia Glassman as Director of Government Relations. Celia joins SBIA following her experience working as the Senior Legislative Assistant to U.S. Sen. Jim Risch, former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, where she focused on Small Business and Tax, as well as Financial Services issues. Previously, Celia worked for U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, also a former Senate Small Business Committee Chairman, and U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, who previously served as Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Small Business.
A Florida native, Celia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of North Florida. In her spare time, Celia enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her experience in the political and governmental space will make her a solid addition to the association’s government relations team, which is headed by Tonnie Wybensinger, Executive Director of SBIA Government Relations and a former Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for several members of the House and Senate.
