Regional Events
Designed to maximize networking for members in geographic proximity, there are diverse opportunities in every region for SBIA members to get together. These events range from activities such as tennis, lawn bowling, skeet/trap shooting, pickleball and golf, to social get togethers such as art exhibits, regional dinners, outdoor cocktails and wine tastings. Midwest Region
In addition to the Midwest Deal Summit & DeaLinx, which is typically held in Chicago in early June each year, the Small Business Investor Alliance hosts small group events that reflect the character of the region. Regional events are coordinated by the Midwest Committee under the leadership of the SBIA Midwest Regional President. The 2022 Midwest President is Theresa Mozzocci of Maranon Capital.
Northeast Region
The Northeast region kicks off every year with the Northeast Private Equity Conference, which is typically held in New York City in late January. Over the course of the year, the Small Business Investor Alliance hosts small group events across the region that are coordinated by the Northeast Committee under the leadership of the SBIA Northeast Regional President. The 2022 Northeast President is Andrew Panzo of NewSpring Capital.
Southern Region
The Southern Private Equity Conference typically takes place in late February each year. Over the course of the year, the Small Business Investor Alliance hosts small group events across the region that are coordinated by the Southern Committee under the leadership of the SBIA Southern Regional President. The 2022 Southern President is Heather Hubbard of Valesco Industries.
Western Region
The Western Private Equity Conference, which is typically held in early April, also features Western CapitaLinx — the premier fundraising event for lower middle market private equity funds. In addition, the Small Business Investor Alliance hosts small group events over the course of the year that are coordinated by the Western Committee under the leadership of the SBIA Western Regional President. The 2022 Western President is Tim Rafalovich of Wells Fargo.
